The-Pensions-Net-WorkThe world of pensions and employee benefits in the UK faces further fundamental and far-reaching change in the coming years, continuing a process of upheaval stretching back to at least the 1980’s. The pace and volume of both actual change, such as “A” day on 6th April 2006, and proposed change, such as that envisaged by the Turner Report, is colossal. Regulatory and operational impacts come not only from UK agencies such as FSA, HMRC and DWP, but increasingly from Europe as well. There is a compelling need for senior professionals in the fields of pensions and employee benefits to be able to consider the effect of these impacts with their peers in a non competitive, relaxed and informal environment, in order to best understand how to cope with them and advise their respective organisations on best practice. The Lyncombe Consultancy Limited and Le Beau Visage are therefore pleased to announce the establishment of The-Pensions-Net-Work. The-Pensions-Net-Work builds upon the successful format established by Peter le Beau in The-Net-Work and will be complementary to that body. The-Pensions-Net-Work is a membership-based organisation meeting in round-table conference four times a year. It is run by a Management Board chaired by Malcolm Small of The Lyncombe Consultancy Limited. Malcolm will also chair the quarterly conferences. Membership will be of vital interest to:
Membership is strictly limited in order to obtain the best possible quality of debate. Corporate and individual memberships are available. All conferences are run under Chatham House rules. Conferences are run over 24 hours from a Thursday evening to Friday afternoon to include a dinner with guest speaker and four main presentations. Conference locations are typically within 40 miles of central London. The objective is open, relaxed and constructive debate in an informal environment, allowing the opportunity for members to interact with their peers, colleagues and friends. Observers from government and the regulator are invited to attend. Members may invite guests for a small additional charge. The first meeting was held in the summer of 2006, the second in the Autumn, with four scheduled for 2007. Amongst topics addressed in these meetings are:
It is our aim to create a group of high quality thinkers who can discuss the needs and development of the Pensions and Employee Benefits industry in an open, collegiate and stimulating way. We anticipate that The-Pensions-Net-Work will develop into one of the most important forums in the UK financial services industry. MEMBERSHIP ENQUIRIES These should be addressed to:
